Epos - Epic
Lytt til musikken HER.

“Epic” is part of my collection
« Sketches for organ " ( 2007). This organ piece is written for Elling.
Listen to the music HERE.
The work is well suited for festive days in the church. It begins with a theme reminding of ringing bells. This theme is repeated later in the piece. It makes me happy to play it!

EPOS is one of my favorite pieces from Sylke Feldhusen's wonderful organ collection "Sketches." This piece is filled with festive energy from the very first fortissimo measure, building in intensity until its final bars. The left hand figure presented in measure one drives the piece forward with insistence and is unrelenting throughout. But this general figure and the surrounding harmonies are extremely playable and quite a joy to perform, too. This is simply a beautiful postludium that could end a liturgy as well as an organ recital with verve and happy expectancy. A worthy addition to any organist's standard repertoire. Brava!
